We support Futuro Vivo, a school that has empowered children and families in Guerra, Dominican Republic for over 30 years
Futuro Vivo is a school founded over 30 years ago in San Antonio de Guerra, DR by the Carmelite Sisters of Teaching from Segovia, Spain. It provides a comprehensive education to some of the most disadvantaged children in the Dominican Republic.
Supporting Futuro Vivo began 6 years ago when we learned from the sisters how a lack of consistent funding made it difficult to fully meet the needs of their students. We created this charity in response as a way to ensure the school has the resources it requires.
Thanks to generous support from our donors, we’ve been able to give 250K to Futuro Vivo over the last 6 years. That money is used in three ways: comprehensive medical care, transporation, and gas and supplies for cooking lunch.
Over the last 6 years, the number of students has grown from 635 to 790 students. Futuro Vivo was able to offer a full high school for the first time in the 2024-2025 school year, so every student was able to go directly from Futuro Vivo directly into a free public university in Santo Domingo.
Your donation funds the education, health, and meals of real children with real futures. Every dollar goes directly to the school.
